Bible Basics
This year as we continue our study of the Bible and learn more about the New Testament, let's take a minute to review how we find Bible passages. We look them up by the name of the book of the Bible (check in the table of contents to find where each book begins). The first number is the chapter. The number after the colon is the verse or verses. Practice looking up verses. One person open the Bible and write down a verse you like. Give your verse to the person to your right and see if they can find the verse. See how many you can get correct. Happy learning!

jesus My friend
This year as we explore the New Testament, we will learn more about Jesus. "Jesus My Friend" is an activity that we will do each month. You can find the template on the September with Children page.
This month as Jesus calls his disciples to come and follow him and share the good news, take your "My Friend Jesus" with you somewhere this month. Are you going to a relative's to visit? Take "My Friend Jesus" with you and share a few stories you know about Jesus with someone there.
craft
After reading the story of Jesus calling his disciples, you can make a fish craft and talk more about the story. Find the directions to make a celery stamp fish below.
Music
Grab your dancing shoes and a partner and turn up the tunes. Praise Jesus as you sing some songs together. Warning these songs are catchy and you may just be singing them all night. Have fun!
